Saab really should come back to the US market without GM influence. The 9-5 Aero looks great.

These are still on GM platforms using GM engines. Looks good though.

I noticed that the key fob is especially GM like. Cadillac used a very very similar design. I just wish they went back to Saab before GM. No offense, but GM kinda dug their grave.

You could think of it as an obscure, more handsome Buick Regal.

Yeah, because it's not like GM had anything to do with that car or anything....

That steering wheel is the sex though, so I’m not even mad. I see lots of parts bin though.

That's one of the most ridiculously good looking modern cars of the 21st century IMO.

If you think Saab would have survived past the early ‘90s without GM, you're delusional.

I completely agree, super underrated cars. Saabs last good thing to come to the United States.

They might have, may not have been pretty though. But GM really started to kill it with the rebadged Trailblazer and slightly modified SRX.

Their grave had been dug for a while. they couldn’t find a happy, but still quirky, medium between mass market volkswagen and luxury brands like BMW and Volvo. They couldn’t do much without GM buying them anyways. So we got a couple decades of re-engineered Opels.

I’m fine with rebadged Opels!
I don’t want a Regal, but I do want an Opel Insignia.
